Promoting Culture and Tourism in CT:
In Conjunction with Governor Rell Staycation Vacation initiative July 1- Sept.1, 2008 and Fall into CT 2008 as a marketing campaign to showcase attractions throughout the State of Connecticut including state parks, restaurants, museums, theaters, etc.Ghost Chat New England has created this page to allow residents to preview some of these locations. We have included the links to the sites.

7) Historic Victorian Carousel Gardens Restaurant, Seymour CT.- picturesque dining with fabric napkins but affordable...also home of Donna Kent and the Cosmic Society meetings first wednesday night of the month for those with an affinity for the paranormal. 9) Gillette's Castle State Park, East Haddam CT- A wonderful backdrop for our interview with Estevan Vega---glimpses of the castle and the train station. You will definitely want to stop here if you have never seen this magnificent structure built by William Gillette the original Sherlock Holmes. The state Park is free/ inside structure is small admission. Kids and adults love it here . They will love the tales of the eccentric actor and the train which still runs not at the Castle but at Lake Compounce in Southington. 13) Indian Leap Norwich, CT Yantic falls, know as Indian Leap, was a favorite encampment of the Mohegan Indians. Home of the first music school in the country to confer degrees in teaching music, the United States' own Schindler, Hiram Bingham IV who was posthumously honored last year with the United States Honorary Diplomat Stamp, and the list goes on. 22) The Christmas House- Montville CT- December Annually -Betty Ann Dessert has a sweet treat in store for those that visit her home at Christmas time. She has been collecting Christmas decorations since she was a small child. She accepts a small donation that is used for local Montville non-profit organizations. ( link to be added)
